Internal Competitions
The role of the Director of Internal Competitions is to organize the moots and competitions that
the La Trobe Law School Association hosts.
This would typically include administrative tasks
like finding esteemed Judges for the competitors, searching for the most appropriate Moot
cases, assisting with any inquiries that the competitors may have, and orchestrating the Grand
Final Night for the competitors.
The Internal competition portfolio hosts a diverse range of competitions which include: Witness
Examination, Negotiation, Client Interview, Criminal Law Moot, International Humanitarian Law
Moot, Senior Moot, Junior Moot, Torts Moot. These competitions are designed not only to test
legal acumen but to also encourage a more fulfilling law school journey by fostering confidence
and teamwork among law students.
Officers in the internal competitions portfolio play a pivotal role in ensuring these events run
smoothly, from facilitating the competitions to administrative support such as organizing the
competitors.
